THE POWER OF LIFE AND DEATH

The power of life and death is in the tongue.

I have a short comment for your thoughts today. 

People can be deeply affected by what we say. 

The wrong words can impart death.

The right words can impart life. 

We can be greatly encouraged, or greatly discouraged, by what comes out of the mouth of another person (or our own mouth, for that matter).

Fresh and bitter water does not flow from the same source. Have you ever considered that there is more than one “source” within you? Think about that. Think about the trees that grow in your garden. Is there more than one fruit tree in your inner garden?

Now, let’s shift gears.

People can also be deeply affected by what we do not say!

If the right words can impart life, then failure to speak those words of life can leave the other person in a discouraged, near-death condition.

We have opportunities every day to encourage our brothers with a word fitly spoken. The tree of life within you is loaded with good fruit that needs to be made available to the people around you. There is a river that flows from deep within. Do not cap it!

“I love you,” is a good beginning place. Say it!!!

God’s power is hidden in His glory!
