REMAINING ADJUSTABLE

Give us today our daily bread.

Today’s bread is better than yesterday’s. Yesterday’s was the best that we could handle yesterday, and just right for us yesterday. Today’s bread is just right for today. Tomorrow’s bread might be even more exciting. Tomorrow’s bread will fit us for tomorrow.

There will be an element of the schoolmaster in all that is being revealed to us

~ until we no longer know in part

~ until we see Him as He is.

Allow today’s grace to prepare us for tomorrow’s grace, today’s glory to prepare us for tomorrow’s glory. (The meek shall inherit the earth.)

Our inheritance is delayed when pride sneaks into what has been revealed to us. We can plateau for days, weeks, months, years, a lifetime ~ by clinging to a position that we assumed based upon an earlier revelation. (This is the way we have always done it!)

Truth builds upon truth. Yesterday’s truth is adjusted, refined, purified, by today’s revelation.

Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.

Many religious systems, doctrinal positions, and governmental philosophies have been built on one day’s bread. Mistake! The benefactors of previous revelations too often become the enemies of today’s revelation because they fail to stay in the flow.

God is nurturing something that is much larger than what we saw yesterday or see today. We are to walk in humility and with meekness in what we are seeing, keeping our eyes and ears open ~ and our hearts open ~ so that we can adjust to something deeper and greater.

There is more coming which will adjust our stride until we are yoked with Jesus, doing only what we see Father doing.

After years and years of walking in the grace of apostleship, with apostolic revelation, Paul determined not to know anything except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Speaking of the saints, he wrote:

To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Him we preach.

Jesus Christ is our sure foundation. Everything else remains adjustable. We must understand that Father works in different ways with different people on different time frames. The directionof a small boat can be changed in a moment. However, it takes more time to change the direction of a large ship. There is wisdom for changing directions without throwing everyone overboard. God is at the helm, releasing revelation in a timely manner so that none perish.

There is a fresh wind blowing, bringing refreshment to the saints, and preparing the priesthood (of all believers) for release into their life’s kingdom work! This is a critical time, especially for those who are called leaders in what is called church.

Positional rigidity may disqualify some, while adjustable flexibility will allow others to soar with the wind! Beloved, let us love (not judge) one another!

Through wisdom a house is built. We can stand together firmly upon the Rock, and give plenty of slack to one another, as we all process from faith to faith, from strength to strength, and from glory to glory.
