EACH SON IS UNIQUE

We all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory. - II Corinthians 3:18.

God is bringing many sons to glory (Hebrews 2:10) who shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is (I John 3:2). When Christ who is our life appears, then (we) also will appear with Him in glory (Colossians 3:4), Truly, as I live, all the earth will be filled with the glory of the Lord (Numbers 14:21).

Yet, there are no two of us who are just alike! Each son is unique.

I look around me at those whom our Father has allowed me to "father" in the faith. What a beautiful variety! What a glorious collection of men and women who are given to God’s glory! What a joy wells up within my soul as I embrace their delightful differences and applaud the obvious uniqueness of each one.

It would not be good for them to look like one another. It certainly would not be good for any of them to look like me! Some are more like me than others. They carry His imprint in much the same way as I do. Others ~ it’s a real "stretch" to believe that we can be in the same family!

What makes it work ~ and work so beautifully ~ is the vision for each one to be himself, and comfortable with himself. It is enough to be who we are in Him, whom He made us to be. It is not enough to try to be someone else, or like someone else.

I am honored and thrilled to nurture (labor in childbirth) the Christ in each person, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27).

Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily. - Colossians 1:28-29.

The Lord delights in you (Psalm 18:19)! I delight in you!

Get comfortable in your own skin.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).

You are unique!
