CONTEMPORARY LESSONS FROM DANIEL

Read all about it! Daniel is packed with insights that apply to our political world today.

1. Comfort. Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace. - Daniel 3:16-25.

2. Peace. To all peoples, nations, and languages that dwell in all the earth: Peace be multiplied to you. - Daniel 4:1-2.

3. Assurance. His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and His dominion is from generation to generation. - Daniel 4:3,34.

4. Sovereignty. The Most High rules in the kingdom of men, gives it to whomever He will, and sets over it the lowest of men. - Daniel 4:17,25; 5:20-21.

5. Justice. Those who walk in pride He is able to put down. - Daniel 4:37; 5:20.

6. Security. "Has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?" "My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths." - Daniel 6:16-23.

7. Endurance. His dominion shall endure to the end. - Daniel 6:26.

These principles apply to all "in whom is the Spirit of the Holy God" (Daniel 4:9,18; 5:11). Read the book of Daniel, asking the Spirit of the Holy God to help you to make application to your situation.

Kenyan believers, we are praying for you in this time of political/ethnic unrest. We are praying for your safety, your provision, and ~ most of all ~ that your faith will not fail.

American believers, don’t be unsettled by this political season. Exercise your right to vote as God leads you. Then, rest in Him. Invest yourself in His kingdom, where your citizenship has eternal worth. Don’t be distracted. Don’t let your faith fail.

All believers pray, "Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth (Colossians 3:2). Only do what you see the Father doing (John 5:19). That’s what sons do!
