AS IT IS

Your kingdom come.

Your will be done on earth

as it is in heaven. - Matthew 6:10

Father’s rule in heaven is by the Spirit. God is Spirit. His kingdom is not of this world, is not meat and drink, and cannot be inherited by flesh and blood. Neither can the kingdom be organized and presented merely by human thought. Neither reason nor instinct helps us to produce with natural seed what must be the product of holy Seed.

While many human analogies are used in the parables of Jesus, they are only "hints" to provoke our spirits into a search beyond the natural horizons. The kingdom of God is near, at hand, available to children, and to those who are willing to be reduced to children, in their understanding.

The mysteries of the kingdom are revealed to the faithful by the Spirit. The coming of the kingdom into any individual, group or situation is truly an invasion of heaven’s force into what was man’s domain. It is takeover by surrender.

The fruit of the kingdom is the fruit of the Spirit. Love prevails. Joy prevails. Peace prevails. Longsuffering prevails. Kindness prevails. Goodness prevails. Faithfulness prevails. Gentleness prevails. Self-control prevails.

Heaven is filled with fruit! It is the King’s domain! Individuals who abide in the King’s domain are filled with fruit. Groups who abide in the King’s domain are filled with fruit. Situations that are brought under the King’s domain are filled with fruit. Abiding fruit prevails under the King’s domain.

Relationships prevail ~ not through the domination of an individual, not a denomination of human origin. Relationships prevail under the King’s domain! The King, Christ Jesus, is ruling from the throne of His father David. He is in the midst of faithful individuals. He is in the midst of groups who gather in His name.

He is in the midst of situations that are surrendered to Him as we pray, Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

As it is in heaven . . . so is it to be on earth.
