AN INSIGHTFUL DREAM

Your old men will dream dreams. - Joel 2:28; Acts 2:17

Barbara and I pray over our dream life every night. Being planted in the house of the Lord (the body of Christ), we are assured that we shall still bear fruit in old age (Psalm 92:12-15). We want to redeem even our sleep time by receiving dreams from heaven.

Early this morning, I had such a dream. While there were no "pictures," I heard the voice of our Father. Therefore, I prophesy the following for your judgment:

"The demonic strongholds over our cities will be fully and finally pulled down by the corporate intercessions of the united church in each place, as she prays under the corporate administration of the united elders in each place."

1. I like to use geo-political sphere as a way of defining the local church. Our areas of residence and responsibility are defined by geography and government. The Bible describes the churches by their cities/regions. Demonic principalities are so defined.

2. Elders were appointed in every city. They took up their position in the city gates. There were no individual little (or large) "kingdoms" within a city at that time.

3. All believers are called to intercession. I am thankful for those who are forerunners, first fruits, of a holy nation who will pull heaven’s government and glory down to earth.

The devil-appointed demonic principalities will continue to enjoy their strongholds on our cities until the church in each city is united in purpose and vision under God-appointed elders who administrate inspired and strategic intercessions throughout the church.

Until then, we will continue with the "win a few, lose a few . . . one for me, one for you," games. We will continue to take two steps forward and three steps backward, as a divided people try in futility to defeat a united enemy.

I am not being negative. I am challenging us to (1) step up to the cross, (2) die to ourselves, (3) free the Spirit of Jesus Christ to live through us, and be Lord of His church.
